The Steel Yard Frieze is a 9 panel modular mixed media work, and a narrative of landscape and place responding to the rugged experience of an industrial steel yard in transformation. This work is the beginning of my story in Providence. My watershed ground murals were noticed by a curator for a Psychogeographic conference. Once I arrived at the Steel Yard, after mucking about in the dirt, and dancing around the fire, I delved into their first weekend welding class with Howie Snyder.

You can see the evolution from the 9 panel frieze to the sculpture using repurposing window frames from the industrial site which also had an iteration of commissioned trash receptacles for Smith Hill in Providence.
